On Earth Day, Some Good News

Just in time for Earth Day 2008 comes some very good news in the form of the annual Index of Leading Environmental Indicators from the non-partisan Pacific Research Institute and American Enterprise Institute, authored by Steven Hayward.
Among the highlights: Air quality is improving, water quality is improving and US greenhouse gas emissions fell. Somehow the WaPo missed all of this, although if it were bad news, you can bet it would have been on the front page.
