Ending Global Poverty: Trade, not Aid
March 16, 2008
Written by: Pat Cleary
Interesting series on global poverty in the Christian Science Monitor this past week written by my good friend (and former White House speechwriter) Mark Lange. It's a five-part series that makes for good and thought-provoking reading. Part one explodes some myths about the issue while part three touches on the benefits of trade in ending poverty worldwide under the heading, "trade beats aid." The last installment contains some practical steps aimed at bringing "the last billion" out of poverty.
Every one of the five sections provides links to the other parts. All in all, a good and interesting series, a good read.
