It appears that the world, once again, is slowly starting to assume a sphere-like shape. With a few rough edges, of course.
A once level-playing field of commerce and competition is being supplanted by barriers and nationalism as international governments have begun recently to reassert their role in the lives of individuals and businesses. Such a trend is putting squeezes on companies and could pose a threat to tackling greater problems, such as global environmental issues.
One of the problems likely contributing to this new rise of nationalism is worker anxiety with today's rapidly-changing employment landscape. More can--and should--be done to help ease the anxiety of American citizens, communities and companies during these uncertain economic times.
We don't propose to have all the solutions to this problem but we think we have a good starting point. Even some of our friends don't think it's such a bad idea.
