Pump Price Update

Have you been following the decline in gasoline prices recently? Since the all-time high set this summer, the price has fallen by nearly $2.30 a gallon. Here are some additional pump price facts:
- In 1949, a gallon of gasoline cost $2.43 in Oct.-Nov. 2008 inflation-adjusted dollars.
- Last week the average price for all grades of gasoline in the United States was $1.87 (Nov. 24-Dec.1, 2008).
- Last week's price was the lowest weekly average price since January 17, 2005.
