Rhetoric vs. Reality

Written by: Jane VanRyan
Anyone who has been reading the news or watching television recently has observed our elected officials trading barbs over energy. They debate such issues as energy policy, energy taxes, and alternative fuels, and they accuse each other of failing to act in the consumers' interest. This war of words is not surprising during an election year, but it rarely provides solid, easy-to-discern information to help the electorate understand the facts about energy.
To that end, API has produced a paper that attempts to separate the political rhetoric from the reality. If you want the facts, you can find them here.
